IPTV on Android Phones and Tablets

Android phones and tablets are the quickest devices to set up for IPTV: copy your details from WhatsApp, paste them into a player, and you're watching in minutes.

Quick answer: Install an IPTV player from the Google Play Store, open it, and paste in your Xtream Codes login or M3U link from WhatsApp. The channel list and guide load automatically, and you can watch on Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Step 1: Install a player from Google Play

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search "IPTV player" and compare ratings and update dates.
  3. Choose an app with Xtream Codes support and a TV guide. IPTV Smarters Pro is a common choice on phones and tablets.
  4. Tap Install.

Step 2: Paste in your details

Long-press each detail in our WhatsApp message to copy it, then paste it into the player's login screen: server URL, username, and password for Xtream Codes, or the full link for M3U.

Step 3: Adjust for mobile

  • Turn off battery optimization for the player so streams don't stop when the screen dims.
  • Pick a lower quality on cellular to save data, if the app offers it.
  • Use Picture in Picture to keep watching while you check messages (Settings → Apps → Special app access → Picture-in-picture).

Any reasonably current Android phone or tablet from Samsung, Google Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus, or another brand can run IPTV player apps from the Google Play Store.

Can I cast IPTV from Android to my TV?

Some player apps support Chromecast. For regular TV watching, installing the player directly on a Firestick or Google TV device is more reliable.

Why does IPTV stop when my screen locks?

Android battery optimization can pause apps in the background. Go to Settings → Apps → your player → Battery and choose "Unrestricted" or turn off optimization.
